2013 Nissan Altima’s 38 MPG Highway Rating: America’s Most Fuel-Efficient Mid Size Car

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has just rated the 2013 Nissan Altima at 27 miles per gallon city, 38 highway and 31 combined, making the vehicle the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered mid-size car in the United States.

These wallet-friendly numbers are for the 4-cylinder version that comes with a 2.5L engine and Xtronic CVT. Fitted with its 18-gallon gas tank, this particular model is able to carry you 684 miles per fill up. Model year 2013 should be a fine one for Nissan for, in addition to its all-new Altima, the automaker plans on releasing four other all-new models in the U.S. over the next 15 months.

The 2013 Nissan Altima is scheduled to roll into showrooms sometime this month.  Check here for insurance rates for Nissan Altima.
